In My Part of the Woods.....

When I first bought the Hatake House from 22769 ~ [bauwerk], I couldn't wait to decorate it. I set up a platform for it, got the porch decorated and then stopped. One thing after another just kept getting in the way of decorating the little three room home.

It is rustic, quaint and beautifully done, it was me that needed more inspiration for the interior because I knew what the outside would look like the moment I purchased it. Then, I went to the August round of FaMESHed and saw the ONE piece that would then inspire me further to decorate this house.

The ONE piece that led me to further inspiration was the gorgeous kitchen/dining room table from Trompe Loeil. It is available currently at FaMESHed and comes with the 4 chairs and a bench seat. There is a HUD included that will allow you to change the napkins and the plates to match or not, customize them to your own personality. I chose to make all my plates and napkins non-match because it gave the room the rustic and country feel that I was looking for.

When you walk upstairs there are a few gacha items as well as a group gift that I received, as well as items that I have purchased from past events. Needless to say though, I am very please with how this house came together.

Such a shame now to tear it all down and start over with a new home to blog and furniture to fill it up. May just keep this one up for a while, who knows what I will do next in my part of the woods...lol.

There are four very large rooms upstairs that can be decorated however you prefer, but I wanted a room four my son Gage. The room is generous in size and the walls come in a neutral color but I can change it if I like.

Welcome to My Home series....Day 4

Today is Day 4 of the tour of my home and we are going to explore what I call the Florida room.  It is just off the living room and leads to the back porch. What I love about this room, as well as the entire house (The Evening Shade Manor by Modern Living), is the openness and all the windows to let in the light.

This house is just me and the creator, Micky Doctorow, has many versions of homes for you to choose from. The furniture in this room all comes in a set. Yes, I used an "out of the box" set to decorate this room, but it fits perfectly and I love this set!

Welcome to My Home series....Day 3

Today I am in day 3 of my tour of My Home and I will cover the Kitchen/Dining area of the home "The Evening Shade Manor" from Modern Living created by Micky Doctorow.

Just a note here: I did make a change to my Kitchen in that I removed the fan/exhaust from above the stove to install a pan rack instead. Also, the one wall was tiled instead of the wallpaper that was there. Micky did assist me in the texture change and I am extremely happy that he is so helpful!

This house is so modifiable when it comes to paint/textures that you will be able to customize your home to your liking. Great price, great build, great creator!

Welcome to My Home series....Day 1

Everyone always asks me about my home and how it is decorated, so I decided to do a complete series of nothing but my house. So, every day I will post a new room and its contents so you will see how I decorate my own house.

Today we start with the actual home and the front porch. I have to tell you I literally walked into this deal on this home! I couldn't believe my luck! Marketplace showed me this house and I thought it would be a mistake on the pricing or a home built by a "newb". However, I sent the creator an IM asking if there was a place where I could see this particular home.

Micky Doctorow is the creator and my IM was met with friendliness, promptness and general helpfulness. He immediately TP'd me to his space and rezzed the home out for me so I could walk through. Once I walked through I was sold, but I couldn't believe the price (395 L)! Since the purchase of the Evening Shade Manor, Mr. Doctorow has created other homes and yes I own them all! lol.

The Evening Shade Manor comes not only with the house, but it comes with a garage (which has a loft apartment above), and a boathouse! The boathouse actually has a loft apartment above it as well. So, you have three living spaces for an extremely low price. Snatch this one up immediately as well as his other homes!
